Act II Old Fashioned Natural Popcorn - Discontinued

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like one of the most popular popcorn flavors on the market is now being discontinued. Act II Old Fashioned Natural Popcorn by ConAgra has now joined the ranks of one of the most popular, and most misunderstood discontinuations in food history. From talking to the rep earlier today, it turns out that demand was just not there and so they had to discontinue it.

Here is the flip side of the story. I also run an online candy store and that was one of the products that we keep on hand. I have seen the writing on the walls for months now, but unfortunately could not get enough in stock. Basically, it sounds like people liked it all over the country. They had a few in California, some in Georgia, some in Minnesota, and some in Tennessee. The problem was that there weren't enough of them in each one of those places. I couldn't figue out how they could discontine it since I literally had 20 orders per day!


So, even with all of my begging and pleading, they have discontinued Act 2 Old Fashioned Natural Popcorn. The closest substitute that they can recommend is Orville Redenbachers Natural. If anyone knows of any other substitutes then I would love to hear them!
